I found a blog that provided links and information about crocheting and knitting heart shapes. There's even a realistic heart pattern(yes, the human organ one) and a heart doily. I plan to try most of the patterns out some time and will try posting them as they come.
My posting intentions are never on time it seems but I've been busy! Aside from school and whatever work I do for the office I've been getting commissioned a lot more now. People seem to like cell phone holders even though mine are really nothing special. They're simple enough but I guess it matters to someone that they can get a custom order. :)
Speaking of orders, recently I ordered a replacement commode seat but I ordered it for the shower bench and not the "drop-arm" commode. Blast! Fortunately, we've been needing a new one so it works out in its own way. :P Next time I will get it right at least.
Also, the little bro has been home for a bit and the companionship has been nice and he's fun to tease. It's so hard to get out and about sometimes so it's good I've got my night class at least this summer. This coming semester will be quite busy though I predict. Maybe I'll challenge myself with physics, chemistry, or psychology, or maybe all of it!? Lol. I'm not an undergrad anymore though. :P
Until next time's pictures!

Birds & Bunny
Two little birds I crocheted during my podcast time.
A bunny pattern from lion brand. I don't like it that much.
It's spring time!

Mario Brothers Mushrooms
Someday I hope to be as cool as WolfDreamer because she's a genius pattern maker. :)
Like her blog post said, I had a ton of fun making these little guys and am still doing so. They make great decorations around the house and kids love them. My friend's brothers shyly approached me with thanks and one happily told me how much he loved the blue one. Awwwww, kids are just too cute sometimes. ^_^
Lately I made a scarf in Berkeley Univ. colors but didn't get to snap a shot. Shucks. It turned out pretty well even though I was strapped for yarn. The store only had two more balls of dark blue and the person I gave the scarf to didn't have time to wait.
The next project is to finish up the remaining mushrooms lying around and the polo scarf I'm knitting.
Hopefully I will get to all these things and manage to ace my coming tests and midterms as well.

Crocheted 3 Tier Cake
I found this pattern in the Crochet Today magazine and thought I'd give it a shot. I don't like crocheting in the same spot though so I just spiraled around so it may seem uneven, but I think it looks alright.
I wanted to use it as a gift then it occurred to me it is completely useless, and not especially cute, so I will have it put in the office to display glasses instead. Hopefully I can get a shot of the display case later.

Happy New Year 2011, with a few totoro
I finished up a few little totoros for my brother to give to his friends and featured in the background is the first bigger, blue totoro I ever made. There is something very satisfying about making a cute object that you can hold in your hands.
This past holiday season has been rather crazy with all the knitted and crocheted items I was churning out faster than you can take a proper picture of. :( My new year's resolution is to work on maintaining a proper blog and etsy account!....once I am settled in school and have my applications finished and turned in. They are nearly there!!!
This year I have also agreed to work with my aunt a little and come December (I know it's really early to say this...) we will participate in a crafts show. There we will have a booth to show our stuff. I don't know if I'm expecting much but it is a start. I'm no entrepreneur but I can't keep all the dolls I make so it may not be a bad idea to try selling a few right.
Let's hope for a great year and a proper blog with some nice items.

One Year Older and Now for the Holidays
Lately my projects mostly consist of scarves, hats, and bags. I've made several amigurumi but, like usual, they get taken away from me as soon as they're made.
My mom brought back from Hawaii several books in Japanese on knitting and crocheting, and two horse amigurumi sets. Unfortunately, I think the two horseys are not so cute for my tastes but maybe someone out there will like these patterns. I will see about translating some of them for horse lovers, and I'm unsure as to how many people in the U.S. really have access to Japanese patterns.
Check here for some Japanese patterns. They have this cute mushroom cover for your toilet paper rolls.
There are also other patterns that are free for download so check it out! :D
Oohhh, I bet no one reads these posts though....>.<

No new pictures :(
As of yesterday, 10/04, I managed to finish a crocheted scarf after having it sit around the house for weeks. I still have an incomplete penguin and little totoro floating around.
However, I do have a lovely blue totoro that I finished a few days ago. It looks much improved from my former prototype. I love the pattern and want to make many many more. Someday I will make a nice big family of totoro after the house has been cleaned and organized a bit more. It is such a slow and painful process to clean and organize, don't you think?
As of right now I think I will work on a new scarf with all the clearance yarn I've collected. My mom and I always get so carried away at the yarn store and as the only one using it I have some trouble keeping up.
Well, hopefully someday I will be able to sell some of my toys and create some of my own. Though maybe people will like my "modifications" to other patterns. I'm sure there are all kinds of laws regarding patents, copyright, plagiarism, etc. It's a complicated world out there folks so pick up a craft and let out some of that pent up energy! :D
