One Year Older and Now for the Holidays

Lately my projects mostly consist of scarves, hats, and bags. I've made several amigurumi but, like usual, they get taken away from me as soon as they're made.
Another Bearbunny in pink & green...doesn't it look like a pill?

Little Sleepy Lion

Giant Onigiri/Musubi(aka riceball)

My mom brought back from Hawaii several books in Japanese on knitting and crocheting, and two horse amigurumi sets. Unfortunately, I think the two horseys are not so cute for my tastes but maybe someone out there will like these patterns. I will see about translating some of them for horse lovers, and I'm unsure as to how many people in the U.S. really have access to Japanese patterns.

Check here for some Japanese patterns. They have this cute mushroom cover for your toilet paper rolls.

There are also other patterns that are free for download so check it out! :D

Oohhh, I bet no one reads these posts though....>.<

No new pictures :(

As of yesterday, 10/04, I managed to finish a crocheted scarf after having it sit around the house for weeks. I still have an incomplete penguin and little totoro floating around.

However, I do have a lovely blue totoro that I finished a few days ago. It looks much improved from my former prototype. I love the pattern and want to make many many more. Someday I will make a nice big family of totoro after the house has been cleaned and organized a bit more. It is such a slow and painful process to clean and organize, don't you think?

As of right now I think I will work on a new scarf with all the clearance yarn I've collected. My mom and I always get so carried away at the yarn store and as the only one using it I have some trouble keeping up.

Well, hopefully someday I will be able to sell some of my toys and create some of my own. Though maybe people will like my "modifications" to other patterns. I'm sure there are all kinds of laws regarding patents, copyright, plagiarism, etc. It's a complicated world out there folks so pick up a craft and let out some of that pent up energy! :D

More Little Friends

This is a creature and that is all I know. It looks like it's something along the lines of a bunny and a bear. You decide! :) It is a cute creature so that is good enough for me.

As I haven't posted in a while I will put up a few pictures I have just had on hold. Unfortunately, I have a bit of a problem uploading pictures in a timely manner. Also, as I'm sure any crocheter/knitter knows, it's HARD to keep a finished project around long enough to take a picture of. Lol. My bro especially likes to take them and give them away. Flattering but I really wanted those pictures!
Anyway, no more ranting for now...

The quality of this picture is not so good but maybe you can see the unfinished string against the white. I found this pattern on Lion Brand Yarn called Peas in a Pod and I suggest you give it a shot, too. Mine didn't turn out like the Lion Brand one but it was relatively cute. I made it for my cousin's wedding as a last minute gift idea so it could have been better(eep). I'm now working on a totorobig totoro and little totoro family for my other cousins so I hope they like those better...
Small white totoro

This guy turned out a little chubby.

So there are more on the way!! I'm always making a bunch but they just disappear so fast. >.<

だらだらねこ--Sleepy Cat

I found this pattern when I was looking for Japanese patterns and I was feeling extra ambitious as I was still a super beginner.

I changed the mouth though because I couldn't seem to get the web pages pattern correct.

Give this author credit and check out the site! The site is in Japanese: http://www5a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mite/gurumineko/4/amizu_hara.html

There are also better pictures and diagrams that help promote this cute kitty more. :D

Elf Bear

This bear is supposed to be red and white but I only had green and light green at the time thus the creation of "Elf" bear. Again, taken from a Japanese amigurumi book.

My First Amigurumi Bearcat

Just made and happy. Little brother found him! :OSquish, Squash, Mash!Strangle hold!
Eat window!!N....no more!

Another pattern from the Japanese book あみぐるみBOOK(Amigurumi BOOK).

Cute Big Head Bear

It's too bad the picture didn't turn out very well but this is one of my earliest creations!
The pattern is taken from a Japanese book(あみぐるみBOOK, by Petit boutique series) my aunt found for me and I put him together to my liking. The eyes are supposed to be safety eyes and there's no scarf/bow but I thought it looked cuter this way. The eyes give this bear more personality don't you think? ^_^
